RITZENHOFF’s new, fourth production line opened its doors in Marsberg on October 1st 2013. After just 11 months of construction, another major building project has been completed at the Essentho production site. Following the construction of the logistics centre in 2008 and the new showroom in 2012, total investment in the German production sites in the last seven years alone amounts to well over 50 million euro. As a well-established family-owned enterprise, RITZENHOFF has always placed great value on continuing progress within their company. The advantages of this are clear – every individual step of the glass-making procedure, from production to the delivery of the finished products is carried out in one factory. This means that, alongside optimum quality control at every stage, there is also a greater degree of flexibility in the production process, thereby creating a competitive advantage over companies that outsource their production.
Finally, the sharp increase in demand for high-quality glasses for the beverage industry was the deciding factor in making further investments in a new production line. Showing enormous growth, RITZENHOFF’s export share in the beverage industry currently totals more than 75% of total revenue. The RITZENHOFF brand has become firmly established in this sector; the company’s clients include all the major international brewery groups.
The fourth production line means an increase of 14 million glasses per year, bringing total production capacity up to 50 million glasses per year. The new line is the final piece in one of the most high-tech machinery systems in the glass production industry.
